Ever wondered how you can support a local student and make an international impact at the same time? With this year's Hoops for Haiti event, you can do just that. Students will be competing with their peers in a 2-minute free-throw shooting contest in order to raise funds for the Espwa Foundation's work in Haiti.
We'd love your support prior to the event, but you can also come out to Lane Elementary School on Saturday, June 1st from 2:00 - 5:00 pm to see the event live. Lane Elementary is located at 7137 Beulah Street, Alexandria, VA 22315. Your donation is 100% tax deductible and will help provide better medical care to a community of 10,000 in Haiti.

Hoops for Haiti is a fundraiser for students of all ages that will directly benefit Dr. Rodlin "Roro" Paul. Our hope is that the funds raised will allow Roro to begin working 4 days per week at St. Anthony's Clinic.
Prior to 2017, Roro served our Espwa medical teams as a translator. In the translator role, Roro did an exemplary job translating critical medical information between patients and non-Creole speaking providers. In March 2017, Roro, as a newly minted physician, joined another Espwa medical team: this time seeing patients and providing medical care. What an honor to have him as part of our team fighting disease and illness. On that trip, we treated over 600 patients.
Roro now serves at St. Anthony's Clinic, where he always has a smile on his face and continues to go above and beyond in helping those around him. St. Anthony's serves a community of 10,000 Haitians.
