Friends,

I haven't been back on my bike since last year...Im like a once-a-year-cyclist. I only ride for a cause :)

I do love an adventure, and I love what ESPWA is doing in Haiti. I believe in their philosophy, and I have witnessed the positive effect of their work. Please take some time to learn about this unique non-profit.

So, to raise funds for Espwa's important work, I'll be cycling 150 miles over 3 days from Cumberland, MD to Pittsburgh, PA on the GAP trail. This ride will be a challenge, but I'm excited to take this on. I'm also excited to support the work of Espwa, and by supporting my ride, you'll be supporting ESPWA's work in Haiti.

Would you consider sponsoring my ride? Possibly sponsoring me per mile:

  • 10¢ per mile = $15
  • 25¢ per mile = $37.50
  • 50¢ per mile = $75
  • $1 per mile = $150

Funds raised will be used to help Haitian kids go to school this fall or to buy medicine for a small village clinic or to support a local pastor as he ministers to the spiritual needs of the people or to support a local Haitian Doctor on the frontline in Cap Haitian, Haiti, or various other projects that ESPWA is involved in.

THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR YOUR TIME AND CONSIDERATION.

ABOUT Ride the GAP 2019

Espwa’s Ride the GAP is a fundraising adventure bike ride on the Great Allegheny Passage (GAP). This 3-day excursion spans 150 miles from Cumberland, MD to Pittsburgh, PA. Riders of all skill levels are welcome on this fully supported ride. Funds raised from this charity bike ride will be used to support the projects of the Espwa Foundation.

The Espwa Foundation is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to impacting those in poverty in the Cap Haitien, Haiti region.  "Espwa" is the Haitian Creole word for "hope."  We believe it's all about relationships and that through long-term development, we can truly help our brothers and sisters in Haiti.  We don't just throw money at problems, or give handouts when they are not the appropriate type of intervention.  We assess situations, get to know those involved, and come up with strategies to achieve personal and professional growth.  In our project portfolio, we engage in medical relief by partnering with local physicians, and undertake development efforts across the spectrum: family support, farming, small business, pastoral support, and more.  Join our movement of hope in Haiti today!
